A few days ago, I wrote that I wanted to get to know the DFAM better. First lesson from page 9:
The VCO EG AMOUNT knob plays an exteremely important role in how the DFAM sounds and behaves. It is the difference between a silly sound and a slamming kick drum.
I started a sequence and explored the relationship between the VCO EG AMOUNT and VCO DECAY knobs, then added some movement by patching in the Triple Sloths from my Eurorack case. I realized that I had to record the sounds and ended up with an angry, wubby, not-very-drumlike performance.
Composed on Moog DFAM with modulation by Triple Sloths module; recorded on a Tascam Model 12 and produced in Ableton Live 12.3.
