My music instructor and I reviewed "My Best Friend is a Dog" during my lesson on Monday, and I asked him how to make my basslines sound more realistic. After our conversation, I looked over at the wall at my Fender P-Bass and wondered if I could get a better feel for basslines if I played one on the actual instrument. Let me be clear: I can get notes out of a bass but I don't claim to be able to play it. Still, it was worth a shot, so I learned a simple chord progression from the Troubadeck and recorded a groove.
